If you're like me, you've never completed an expedition before you set your eyes on Kilimanjaro. I have climbed many mountains, and spent a lot of time hiking in several countries, but the whole concept of going to a place so different from my home country and climbing a mountain almost 6000m high was far beyond my normal holiday planning skills. I am a very curious person and I love to do research about things I am planning to do. And with Kilimanjaro I really had enough material for months of research and planning. But this doesn't mean that climbing Kilimanjaro requires planning skills and lots of time! That's exactly the point!
Take me for example, I confess that I overplanned.. But that was simply because I love doing so. If you are interested in doing something similar like we did, then just read through my planning tips and I will almost guarantee that you are set to go!
Excellent deal right?
